ADAP becomes a member of IUCN

After having thought about it for a long time, ADAP submitted its application to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) this spring. As a small NGO, it was important for ADAP to join a serious, scientific and international organization in order to benefit from its network and knowledge but also to contribute to it through our expertise and transmit our values in the field of community-based natural resource management.

In early October 2018, the IUCN Council approved the admission of ADAP as a Member of the Union. It is therefore an opportunity for us to participate in this great conservation network and to make our voice heard in its decisions.

We thank IUCN for its confidence and look forward to making progress on the ground or in advocating for better consideration of natural ecosystems and the people who depend on them!
